A live recording by the working trio of New York multi-instrumentalist Joe McPhee, British double bassist John Edwards and German drummer Klaus Kugel, captured at the Alchemia club in Kraków — the venue at the heart of so much of the label's history. Released by Not Two in 2019, A Night In Alchemia documents three highly experienced improvisers in concert, McPhee's deeply vocal saxophone and pocket-trumpet playing anchoring an evening of open, responsive group music.
