A second duo recording uniting German free-jazz pioneer Alexander von Schlippenbach — founder of the Globe Unity Orchestra — with Norwegian percussionist Dag Magnus Narvesen, following Interweaving. Released by Not Two in 2019, Liminal Field continues the cross-generational dialogue between the elder statesman's Monk-informed pianism and a younger drummer's responsive playing.
