A trio recording uniting Chicago reed player Ken Vandermark with German drummer Klaus Kugel and Ukrainian bassist Mark Tokar. Released by Not Two in 2017, Escalator documents an international trio that brings together players from the American, German and Ukrainian scenes, reflecting the trans-European network of collaborators at the heart of Vandermark's work for the label.
