The first volume of Free Sessions, uniting Slovenian guitarist Samo Šalamon with Hungarian violist-composer Szilárd Mezei and Italian reedist Achille Succi. Released by Not Two in 2017, Planets documents a freely improvised meeting of three distinctive voices from across the European scene, its unusual guitar-viola-reeds instrumentation lending the music a chamber-like openness and transparency.
