An album by the Kris Wanders Outfit, led by tenor saxophonist Kris Wanders — a veteran of the late-1960s European free-jazz explosion and a member of the seminal Globe Unity Orchestra, whose early collaborators included Peter Brötzmann, Peter Kowald and Han Bennink before he relocated to Australia. Joined by trombonist Johannes Bauer, bassist Peter Jacquemyn and drummer Mark Sanders, In Remembrance of the Human Race delivers dark, earthy, deeply communal free improvisation from players connecting far below the surface.
