About This Release
A trio recording led by trombonist Jeb Bishop — best known for his years in the Vandermark 5 — with drummer Harris Eisenstadt and others. Released by Not Two in 2008, Tiebreaker presents Bishop in a leaner, collaborative setting, his warm and agile trombone at the centre of a contemporary improvising group.

Bishop’s gutsy slurs and growls lock in place so completely with Roebke’s steady walking and Eisenstadt’s rumbling, funky beats that other instruments aren’t missed.
