The first duo recording by Peter Brötzmann and American pedal steel guitarist Heather Leigh, and the start of one of the most unexpected partnerships of his late career. Released by Not Two in 2016, Ears Are Filled With Wonder sets his reeds — fierce but, by this point, often achingly lyrical — against Leigh's radical, distortion-free pedal steel; rather than overpowering one another, the two trade the lead, each leaving space for the other in a striking fusion of free jazz and experimental sound.
