About This Release
The second album by the Resonance Ensemble, following the group's 2008 debut. By Kafka in Flight the band had settled into a working identity, its front line of Vandermark, Dave Rempis, Mikołaj Trzaska and Waclaw Zimpel's reeds set against Magnus Broo's trumpet, Steve Swell's trombone and Per-Åke Holmlander's tuba. The literary title reflects the brooding, densely layered character of Vandermark's writing for this edition of the ensemble.
