A vinyl release by Swedish Azz, the group co-led by Swedish improvisers Mats Gustafsson and Per-Åke Holmlander, devoted to the legacy of the golden age of Swedish jazz from the 1950s and '60s. The band approaches that classic repertoire through the lens of contemporary free improvisation, at once a loving tribute and a radical reimagining. Jazz På Svenska reflects Gustafsson's deep engagement with his country's musical history.
