About This Release
The vinyl edition of Resonance, the debut document of Ken Vandermark's ten-piece Resonance Ensemble. The group grew directly out of Vandermark's years of touring Poland: having played Kraków with many of his bands, he and Not Two's Marek Winiarski resolved to build a standing ensemble uniting American, Scandinavian and Central European players. Pressed as an LP from a 2008 concert in Ukraine, this release presents that founding statement in warm analogue sound.

Recorded at the Maria Zankovietska Theatre, Lviv, Ukraine, on 17th November 2007 by Bogdan Stefura and Andry Voytyuk. Mixed and mastered Bob Weston & Ken Vandermark at Chicago Mastering Service, on 26th-28th August 2008.
