A third Not Two album by the Cosmosamatics, the cooperative co-led by veteran reedmen Sonny Simmons and Michael Marcus. Released in 2008, Free Within The Law continues the prolific run that made the group one of the most active partnerships in free jazz during the decade, its title hinting at the disciplined freedom at the heart of their music.
