A live duo recording uniting multi-instrumentalist Oluyemi Thomas — playing bass clarinet, soprano saxophone, musette and wooden flute — with the legendary bassist Henry Grimes, captured in Pittsburgh in 2006. Grimes, who had returned to music in 2003 after a 35-year absence from the scene, was among the most storied figures in free jazz, and this first meeting between the two players unfolds as a continuous, spirit-driven suite. A valuable document of Grimes in the renaissance of his late career.
