The recorded debut of the trio that would become known as Oleś / Jörgensmann / Oleś — German clarinetist Theo Jörgensmann with the Polish twin brothers Marcin Oleś (bass) and Bartłomiej Brat Oleś (drums). Built around Jörgensmann's singing clarinet and the brothers' deep rapport, the group became one of the most admired chamber-improvisation units in European jazz, its later album Directions voted a recording of the year.
