A live recording of Basement Research, the long-running band of German-American reedman Gebhard Ullmann, captured in Munich. The group here includes saxophonist Tony Malaby and drummer Drew Gress's New York circle of players. Released by Not Two in 2006, the album documents one of Ullmann's most enduring vehicles in concert, balancing intricate composition with open improvisation.
