Light End documents a powerful live performance by four deeply experienced improvisers, who come together as The Easter Quartet, recorded on October 26, 2022, at Scholes Street Studio in Brooklyn, NYC.

Released in 2023, the album consists of three extended improvisations—Inveraion, Tight Cluster, and Light End—each unfolding as a long‑form exploration of texture, density, and collective intuition. The unusual two‑drummer configuration creates a shifting rhythmic landscape: sometimes turbulent, sometimes whisper‑quiet, always responsive. Filliano’s bass anchors the ensemble with both resonance and abstraction, while Weissenfels’ piano moves between pointillistic detail and broad harmonic gestures.
